The Second World War
During the Second World War, ninety-nine percent of the membership was doing some form of war work. From 1941-1944, members purchased $3,523 of Alpha Phi War Relief stamps. Within the first four months of sales, four surgical kits, costing $850 each, were supplied for emergency use among civilian victims of air raids in England, and later sales bought woolen blankets.
